Downing’s Journey from Field to Graduation Stage
London Downing was headed to Wilson High School (a very large public school in DC) which would have been a dead end for her in the classroom and on the lacrosse field. Because of the incredible generosity and support of the WINNERS Scholarship program, she attended The Academy of Holy Cross in Kensington, MD and her life was sent on a completely different trajectory.
After graduating from Holy Cross, London went on to play lacrosse at Delaware State University and graduated spring 2025. This is a collection of her outstanding accomplishments:
