Presented by WINNERS Lacrosse and Play4TheCure, the DC Lacrosse Classic is an annual event to celebrate lacrosse and its growth throughout Washington, DC while also raising funds to help grow the game even further through WINNERS. This was our 8th year running the event and it continues to bring even more teams together every year. This year’s DC Classic featured 7 high school lacrosse games – 4 boys and 3 girls.

Here at WINNERS Lacrosse, our goal is to use the game as a vehicle to instill values, education, and life sustaining skills that give young boys and girls the tools to be successful on and off the field. There were a number of former WINNERS participants playing in this year’s DC Lacrosse Classic and it is amazing to see how far they have come from when they first picked up a stick a few years ago. We hope to see even more former WINNERS players in next year’s DC Classic!

WINNERS Lacrosse and Play4TheCure would like to thank all those involved in making this year’s DC Lacrosse Classic an outstanding event! This was our 8th year hosting the event and it gets better year after year.

We would like to thank everyone from Woodrow Wilson and St. Albans, especially Mitch Gore and Gary Schnell, for hosting the event this year. The DC Lacrosse Classic would not have been possible without their support, help, and willingness to have all these games at their schools.

We would also like to thank the players and coaches from each school that participated in the DC Lacrosse Classic. There were some great games at both schools, and everyone seemed to enjoy the games throughout the day.

Another thank you to Surfside for bringing their food truck to St. Albans, and to Aspire for coming out and fueling all the players with their sports drinks.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who came out to watch the amazing high school lacrosse games that we were able to feature. WINNERS and Play4TheCure appreciate all the support and we hope you will all come out again next year!
